The most common question we get is not about money. It is about time. Here is a realistic picture.
The two-day pattern
On campus two weekdays, working the other three. Roughly eight contact hours plus ten to twelve hours of independent study. The independent study is the part people underestimate.
The evening pattern
Two or three evenings a week, 18:00 to 21:00. Suits shift workers and parents with childcare in the daytime. Harder in January when you finish in the dark.
The weekend pattern
Saturday and sometimes Sunday, full days. Protects the working week entirely, but it does consume your weekends during term.
What to give up
Everyone gives something up. The students who cope best decide in advance what it will be, rather than discovering it in week six.
